The new Audi RS 5 is Audi Sport’s first high-performance plug-in hybrid (PHEV) which pairs a 503 horsepower 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with a 130 kW electric motor mated to an eight-speed transmission connected to a limited-slip center differential that distributes torque between the two axles depending on the driving situation. Total system output is 630 horsepower with “EV” and “Hybrid” operating modes that delivers a 50 mile electric range in EV mode. The modular electrified powertrain is quattro with Dynamic Torque Control in the rear transaxle. The cockpit is made up of the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and the 14.5-inch MMI Touch Display with a curved design and powered by OLED technology. A 10.9-inch passenger display is standard. Deliveries are expected to commence this Summer in Europe.
