Eighth Gen BMW 3 Series Coming Q1 2027

The eighth-generation BMW 3 Series, with an all-new design adding wider front and rear tracks and a longer wheelbase, is powered by a 255 horsepower 2.0 liter TwinPower Turbo inline four-cylinder engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology in the BMW 330 and 330 xDrive starting at $51,250 (including $1,350 destination and handling) for the 330 and $53,250 for the 330 xDrive. The M350 xDrive has a 437 horsepower 3.0-liter inline-six engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and starts at $67,250. The electric i3 50 xDrive has a combined 463 horsepower from a dual-motor all-wheel drive system delivering an estimated range up to 468 miles and starts at $62,850. The BMW i3 M60 xDrive will join the model range in 2027. The 17.9-inch center display features a free-cut design and is angled toward the driver. All new BMW 3 Series models come standard with a seven-speaker, 205-watt hi-fi system, except the M Performance models, which include a Harman Kardon hi-fi system as standard. The self-learning BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is a core element of BMW Operating System X in the new BMW 3 Series. Driving Assistant Plus bundles Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go, Speed Limit Assistant, Lane Keep Assistant, and Steering Assistant can control the speed of the BMW 3 Series and its distance from the vehicle in front at the driver’s request and help them to easily keep the car in its lane. BMW Symbiotic Drive enables Driving Assistant Plus to also work smoothly and intuitively in tandem with the driver’s inputs, if desired. The U.S. launch of the new BMW i3 50 xDrive, 330, 330 xDrive, and M350 xDrive will commence in the first quarter of 2027.
