2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge, XC40 Arrive Refreshed This Summer

The all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge model and the XC40 will receive fresh styling updates, and the XC40 moves to all mild hybrid powertrain options and gains the new Google built-in infotainment system. The entire 2023 lineup of Volvo cars in the U.S. will consist of mild hybrid, hybrid or electric vehicles equipped with Google built-in. The 2023 Volvo XC40 lineup is in production now and will begin arriving in retailers this Summer.

2017 LA Auto Show Video: Volvo's Lennart Odhner On XC40


The new 2019 Volvo XC40 compact SUV will start at $35,200 for the T5 Momentum trim and later in 2018, a T4 front-wheel drive configuration will be introduced starting at $33,200. Additional powertrain options, including hybridized and pure electric propulsion systems, will be added later. The new Volvo XC40 will begin arriving in Volvo’s nearly 300 U.S. showrooms in early Spring 2018 as a model year 2019.

Volvo XC40 Goes Into Production In November


The Volvo XC40 SUV, the first model on Volvo Cars’ new Compact Modular Architecture, at launch will offer the T5 all-wheel drive Momentum trim and will start at $35,200. In summer 2018, a T4 front wheel drive will be introduced starting at $33,200 while more powertrain options, including a hybridized as well as a pure electric version, will be added later. Production of the new XC40 starts in Volvo Cars’ plant in Ghent, Belgium in November.
