The BMW i4 eDrive40 is powered by a 335 horsepower single rear electric motor for an estimated range up to 300 miles at a cost of $56,395 (including $995 destination charge). Hooking up the high-voltage battery to a Level 2 Wallbox allows it to be fed with AC power at a charging rate of up to 11 kW for a battery recharge from totally empty to 100 per cent in under 8 hours.
